Own the build

An area much overlooked by developers and many agencies is one that helps bring solid closure to a
project or workflow. This is a topic that I will be speaking about at the upcoming Flash in the City 2011 in
New York City on June 10, Owning the Build. Just as important as discovery, creating and maintaining a
product, the deployment process is critical to building a solid client relationship. One of the last
remembrances that a client has with the process is the final delivery, and making that process painless is
very important.

Owning the build, release workflows to soothe the soul.

Learn to rock the build workflow and ease the pain of release management. Designers and developers can work together to
maintain a smooth process for deployment and maintain client
satisfaction. The next time your client asks for a last minute
change, you will be prepared to own the build.

In this session, I will describe a vital tool set (that happens to be free)
and how to integrate them to make the deployment phase for any project an
enjoyable one. I will share an existing case study — a.k.a. happy client —
that puts my process to the test. This session is for any designer or
developer, any team size, and even the most anxious of clients.
